Hello, I’m Jonathan Tolan, and for over two decades, I have dedicated my professional life to demystifying mathematics and helping students achieve their full potential. My speciality is A-Level Mathematics and Further Maths, and I bring a unique depth of experience to my tutoring practice.

My journey includes:
- 15 years as a Classroom Teacher and College Lecturer, where I directly taught A-Level, GCSE and KS3 classes and understood the pressures of the curriculum inside and out.
- 5 years as a Lecturer in Teacher Education at the University of Manchester, where I trained future maths teachers. This role honed my ability to break down pedagogical techniques and identify the most effective ways to explain complex topics.
- Over 20 years of One-to-One Tutoring, providing personalised support that builds confidence and transforms grades.
My academic credentials, including an MSc in Mathematical Logic and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching, ensure that your tuition is grounded in both advanced subject knowledge and proven teaching methods.
